Bijal Mehta is the founder of Arctern providing the vision, strategic direction, and execution for the company.
Prior to Arctern, Bijal was the Chairman of iCode, Inc . A seasoned entrepreneurial executive experienced in the computer hardware, software, and India globalization industry, Bijal co-founded iCode in 1994 with the vision of developing an 'all-in-one' mini-ERP software solution for small businesses and medium enterprises (SMEs) worldwide. Under his leadership as President and CEO until early 2004, the Everest line of products have been implemented at thousands of SMEs worldwide and won numerous industry awards and accolades beating leading competitors such as Microsoft Business Solutions, SAGE, NetSuite, and Intuit. He raised multiple rounds of venture financing to help fund strategic initiatives and fuel the company's growth. Bijal established iCode as a pioneering and innovative software company to leverage an India-US workforce model as early as 1996 and built iCode up to 320 employees in India and in the US. Bijal is considered an expert in globalization and the worldwide SME market. iCode (later renamed to Everest Software) was sold in 2009.
Prior to iCode, Bijal co-founded Accel Inc., a DC-based "white box" computer retailer that grew revenues to $33 million in three years because of attention to quality manufacturing and customer service. In 1994, Accel was sold to Mantech International.
Bijal earned two bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is a Charter member of TiE/ICEO council, a MindShare CEOs alumnus, a member of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and a 2003 E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year nominee. Bijal has also been interviewed by and written about on numerous media channels around the world including the Nightly Business Report (TV), Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Economic Times, The Indus Journal, SoftwareCEO.com, and Bisnow on Business.

Ruhi is handling Business Process Excellence, Training, Transport and Security within Arctern
Ruhi Sharma is an accomplished professional with over 28 years of experience in IT, ITES, BPO/KPO industries and manufacturing domain in petrochemical, textile, paper & pulp industry. Ruhi has played various leadership roles in project/program management, customer relationship management, operations, business analytics, delivery, quality, compliance and training. Ruhi has experience in working with multinational customers across globe in USA, Europe & APAC and has traveled to these regions for various assignments.
Starting from her first company onwards, Ruhi has been a pioneer in helping organizations in getting their ISO and various other quality related certifications. She brings in a rich experience of ISO 9001, CMMi compliance, Six Sigma and Lean implementation, and has various certifications to her name, such as completion of professional education series for CMMi version 1.2 from Carnegie Mellon University, an appraisal team member training for CMMi ver 1.2, Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Facilitator. She has also completed her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Prior to joining Arctern, she worked for 9 years with Wipro Technologies where she played different roles starting from Release Manager for a reputed North America Telecom customer to Software Quality Assurance Head for the Telecom Service Provider group to Strategy & Operations planning for the Communication & Media vertical. Before Wipro, Ruhi was with Chemtex Engineering where she worked as a Project Manager and Electrical Engineer involved with the design of petrochemical, paper & pulp and textile plants, working on turnkey projects from proposal till built- and- transfer stage.
Ruhi holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from Punjab Engineering College, India. She was a state (Himachal Pradesh) topper in her SSLC.
Ruhi's family comprises of her son and husband who is an entrepreneur. Ruhi enjoys listening to music and reading books.
Sherly Chacko is the head of the Administration & Procurement Department at Arctern. She joined the Arctern family in the year 2004 and was one of its first employees. Her efforts to set up the office right from scratch while leading from the front has always been appreciated. Her contributions have played a major role in shaping the company to what it is today. During her 12 years of dedicated service at Arctern, she handled several responsibilities which included Administration, Travel, Finance, Payroll, Facilities Maintenance, Interiors & Renovations, Transport, Office Management, Procurement as well as serving as an Executive Assistant to the Founder, CEO & MD.
Prior to Arctern, Sherly worked as an Administrative Executive for Prestige Group, where she handled its office administration. She has vast experience in working with several organizations in office management. She has also worked as a teacher and a trainee in South Indian Bank post her graduation. Sherly holds a Bachelor's degree in commerce from MG University, Kerala.
She is married and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Apart from her professional achievements, she shows active involvement with charitable organizations and contributes her services for the uplift of the lesser fortunate people of the society.
Subhashini has joined Arctern as Head of Human Resources and comes with over 10 years of experience in the domain with expertise gained in noted IT companies. Prior to joining Arctern, Subhashini was heading the Human Resource function at IDS Next Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
In addition to Subhashini's experience, her educational credentials include a Bachelor?s Degree in Commerce and a PGDM in Human Resource Management. Along with this, she is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She is currently pursuing her Post Graduation in Psychology as well. Credited for simplifying personnel management, Subhashini brings forth her experience and energy to strike a balance in organizational expectation and employee need. Leveraging her experience in Human Resource Management, she offers integration of Lean Management into her activity. In her approach to work, change is valued and innovation cherished thus, bringing them together to implement a sustainable change in everything.
On personal front, Subhashini is married and loves to spend time with her family. While being an ardent traveler, DIY enthusiast, nature lover, a philanthropist and trainer, she is a movie buff and has a flair for languages.
Sudhakar Vishwanath is the Corporate Counsel at Arctern. He is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the company's legal affairs in India, including matters related to corporate/company compliance, employment/labor, contracts, M&A, financing, real estate, intellectual property and general commercial transactions.
Prior to Arctern, Sudhakar worked for over 7 years as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Pune (India)-based Compulink Systems Limited, software products, services and training company. During his tenure, he successfully contributed to managing the company's venture funding and IPO.
With over 10 years of experience in the areas of legal and company secretarial functions, Sudhakar holds bachelor's degrees in law and commerce, and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Besides working, Sudhakar is a passionate part-time cricketer and an avid weekend trekker/traveler.
Surya Katakam provides the technology direction and leadership for Arctern. He is responsible for building and implementing the IT/MIS backbone for the company. He is also responsible for all sales, staffing and services delivery activities including customer interaction, account management, escalation, communication, and satisfaction.
Surya brings to the company over 26 years of management and product development experience under multiple platforms and computing environments. He has proven ability to span the gap between evolving business requirements and technical implementation. His strong project management skills complement his technical expertise in architecting and delivering distributed enterprise solutions.
Prior to Arctern, Surya served as a Senior Manager - R & D at Everest Software (formerly iCode Software) where he led the design, development and delivery of Everest, an award winning multi-tier e-business and e-commerce software suite, using state-of-the-art Microsoft technologies. During his 11 years tenure at Everest, he has demonstrated continuous product and process improvements as well as technology migration. He was also instrumental in identifying and integrating key OEM components and solutions for the Everest product line. Before Everest, Surya worked with a domestic IT organization developing and implementing business automation solutions for several retail/wholesale businesses and manufacturing industries.
Surya holds an MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from Nagarjuna University. When not working, he enjoys reading, watching cricket, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Veerendrakumar R A is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with a strong business acumen offering more than 14 years of post-qualification corporate experience across diverse industries including IT & ITES sector.
Prior to Joining Arctern, He was working as a Financial Controller with Axcend Automation & Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd and was responsible for Budgeting, Forecasting, MIS, Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes. His achievements include settling up of wholly owned Subsidiary (WOS) in USA & Europe, Fund raising, Corporate Restructuring, and Direct Tax Assessments etc.
Previously, he worked as a Finance Manager with IonIdea Group for close to a decade and hands on in Finance & Accounts, Direct taxes, FEMA, Indirect Taxes, STPI & Labour Laws. His major achievements were setting up of STPI Units, Bonding, Debonding, Exit from STPI, Establishing policies etc. His major achievements are setting up of their extended offices in India & Overseas , Due diligence in relation to acquisition, Handled the Merger of a group company, Income tax Assessments including TP Assessments, etc.
Prior to IonIdea, he worked with Xerox India (Formerly known as ACS of India (P) Ltd, a subsidiary of ACS Inc., A Fortune 500 Company) as Assistant Finance controller, handled the Audit, liaising with statutory bodies & Banks, MIS, SOX Compliances, Customs & Excise, VAT, Service Tax, Setting up of an Branch office in India etc.
